Conflict-Free Diamond Policy
I.B. Goodman, along with the global diamond industry, has a zero-tolerance policy toward conflict diamonds. Through measures such as the Kimberley Process, which tracks diamonds from mine to market, the industry, in partnership with the United Nations, governments, and non-governmental organizations, monitors diamond exports to prevent the trade of illegal diamonds. I.B. Goodman and its business partners only source diamonds through the largest and most respected purveyors who, like us, proudly adhere to and enforce the standards established by the Kimberley Process. Therefore, all diamonds supplied in our jewelry are warranted to be “conflict free”.
I.B. Goodman observes the highest ethical standards and we insist that our business partners do the same. This extends to our gold sourcing. The issue of responsible mining is important to us; therefore, we will strive to ensure that our gold and metals come from suppliers that meet high human rights, social, and environmental criteria. Further, we prefer business partners who will also strive to source gold from recycled and secondary sources.
At the I.B. Goodman Company we try our best to practice social responsibility though our membership/support of the following charities and Jewelry Industry associations: Jewelers for Children (JFC), Jewelers Vigilance Committee (JVC), Jewelers Security Alliance (JSA), Jewelers Board of Trade (JBT), Manufacturing Jewelers and Suppliers of America (MJSA), Retail Jewelers Organization (RJO), The Plumb Club Association, Responsible Jewellery Council.
